This section provides detailed information on various types of funds and economic resources (assets) of sanctioned persons that have been frozen in Latvia. The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) publishes information only on those types of assets that are registered in the public registers of state institutions.* For example, real estate registered in the State Land Register, capital shares registered in the Register of Enterprises, trademarks registered in the database of the Patent Office, etc.

RE data on frozen funds (Excel)
This section does not provide information on types of frozen assets of sanctioned persons, the registration of which in public registers is not required by Latvian legislation. If the FIU has information about frozen assets that are not registered in the public registers, it will be published in the section “Sanctioned Persons”.
It must be noted that the FIU publishes information on sanctioned persons whose assets have been frozen in Latvia only in accordance with the information available to the FIU. The FIU may not have complete information on all assets in Latvia that should be frozen, if the persons have not informed the FIU about the implementation of sanctions in accordance with the procedures specified in the sanctions’ legislation (information on the types of information that persons are required to submit to the FIU is available here). The absence of information in the data tables published by the FIU does not exempt persons from the obligations set out in sanctions legislation.
For easier processing of data, the FIU also publishes the information on frozen assets on the Latvian Open Data Portal.
* The FIU publishes information on the types of assets registered by the Court Administration (TA), State Land Service (SLS), Register of Enterprises (RE), Patent Office (PV), state joint-stock company “Road Traffic Safety Directorate” (CSDD), state joint-stock company “Maritime Administration of Latvia” (MAL), State Technical Supervision Agency (VTUA), Rural Support Service (RSS), and the registers maintained by the state agency “Civil Aviation Agency” (CAA).
